What’s Happening This Fall on LBI?

fall on LBIFall is finally here! Which means the holidays will soon be upon us, starting with Halloween and carrying straight on through to the winter holidays. But before you pack it in for summer and get ready for Halloween, there are still some amazing events happening on LBI this fall.

Viking Village Antique and Collectable Show on Sunday, September 17th from 9 AM to 5 PM you can purchase a variety of items from 60 different local vendors. With sorts of different things for sale, from jewelry to vintage clothing and even furniture, there is sure to be some there to peek your interest. Located at the Viking Village, the shop is free to enter and there is plenty of parking, so head on out and see what treasures you can find!

Chowderfest is probably one of the best known LBI fall events. Taking place over two days, September 30th and October 1st in Beach Haven at the Taylor Avenue ball field on Ninth Street and Taylor Avenue. The event is ticketed, starting at $25 for adults and $10 for children. This gives you entrance into the annual Chowder cook-off and all the fun. The annual Merchant’s Mart is free to the public, but does not come with all the tasty chowder. So head on out, rain or shine, September 30th and October 1st to the Taylor Ave. ball field and check out all the Chowderfest events. For more information about ticketing click here.

The 3rd Annual LBI FLY International Kite Festival is happening from October 6th to the 9th and will feature an art market, giant inflatable kites, and sport kite displays. Taking place across the island, some of the key events, like the art market will be at Bayview Park from 10 AM until 4 PM. It is a spectacle for all ages, even featuring stations for kids to make their own kites! This is taking place all across the island so for more details about events you may be interest in check out the schedule.

Christmas Craft Show will take place from November 18th to the 19th at the St. Francis Community Center and will be open from 9 AM until 5 PM. It is a great way to start your holiday shopping! With an entrance fee of just $2 you will have access to all sorts of homemade crafts for your loved ones this holiday season. The event will also have breakfast and lunch available for purchase and a Chance Auction on Saturday the 18th. For more details click here.
