There’s no better place to be this July 4th weekend than on Long Beach Island! As a builder on LBI for over two decades, we can say that the 4th of July weekend is the best time to be on LBI because of all the Independence Day celebrations. So, to kick off our holiday weekend, we’d like to share some of our picks for July 4th weekend on Long Beach Island: what to do & where to be!
From firework displays to Independence Day Parades in Barnegat Light, there’s so much more to see and do. Kick off the weekend with Barnegat Township’s firework show. Parking lots open to the public at 6 p.m. on Friday, July 2nd, with entertainment beginning at dusk by Artie Parties DJ. View Barnegat Light’s Independence Day Parade on the 4th at 6:30 p.m. at West 11th Street with a concert to follow by the Liberty Band at the bayfront gazebo on 8th Street.
Live music can always be found on Long Beach Island, and 4th of July weekend is no exception! The Barnegat Dock Concert Series at the township’s public dock continues with Strictly 60s on July 3rd and Sure Cats on July 4th. The Surf City Hotel will also be hosting Shorty Long & The Jersey Horns beginning at 9 p.m., and The Sea Shell in Beach Haven will be celebrating with Sneak Attack from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. to ring in the 4th of July! Return to live theatre with the Surflight Theatre on July 3rd as part of the theatre’s 72nd season by seeing “Annie, the Musical”!
Be sure to visit one of LBI’s many restaurants too! Dining is another great experience here on LBI, with plenty of choices for delectable dishes to suit all palates. Restaurants are currently open for indoor and outdoor dining, but we would like to remind everyone that reservations when applicable and continued patience are appreciated as our local restauranteurs follow state guidelines.
