Let’s face it, one of the reason many families build on LBI is to spend time with their family and friends enjoying all the area has to offer. An awesome guest suite (or multiple guest areas) is an important design element to comfortably accommodate everyone staying. We’ve built some awesome guest suites, so here’s here’s our take on what makes this feature one of our top LBI new construction goals!
Guest Suite, or Guest House?
One of our favorite guest suite projects happens to be on East 29th Street in Ship Bottom. This custom home on LBI consists of a main home, but also has a separate guest house that is connected through a trellis covered deck. Having connected, yet separate living spaces for guests can be the perfect way to vacation and enjoy one another’s company with a bit more privacy. The guest suite in this home includes a mini kitchenette, living area, bedroom, and bathroom. In addition, there is access to a private deck for guests to enjoy some down time. It’s not just about the spaces available to guests. This guest home’s finishes are upscale in every way. From the wood panel lined vaulted ceiling to the loft bedroom and large bathroom with gorgeous tile, your guests will think they are in a five-star luxury hotel! Truly stunning in every way, this home really exemplifies the LBI new construction goals for guest suites!
Homes that Include Guest Suites
Most of the custom homes on LBI we build include one or more “junior suites”, which are very comfortable and inviting for overnight guests. These are more intimate accommodations for guests because they are included in the square footage of the home’s living space. These suites include a bedroom with its own bath and then for guests not staying the night, each of the home’s levels includes a powder room. Junior suites can be loaded with features to make your overnight guests feel extra special and pampered in every way! We’ve designed and built many of them to include coffee stations. These small “kitchenettes” usually include under counter refrigerators, beautiful cabinets and counters, and sometimes small appliances like microwaves. These can help make your guests feel more at home. With nicely appointed private baths that can include double vanity sinks and oversized showers, these guest suites will wow family and friends with the spacious designs. Private or connected decks or balconies can also be included in the overall design to include some outdoor space as well. All these features combine to make your guests feel at home, no matter how long they are staying with you. These junior suites are also great for adult children and their families and can provide plenty of room to easily settle in and enjoy spending time with you. These suites also make great bedroom areas for older children still living at home. As you can see, these “junior” suites are a great design feature that are very versatile, as well.
