This style trend for homeowners can offer creative ways to highlight exposed pipes and ductwork and lends itself to a more industrial or antique feel. Many homeowners will match the finishes on their P-traps (sink drain pipes) to the finishes on their faucets and/or vanity base if there is a metal finish) for a complete design look. The open bottom vanity also provides an open, spacious look, much like the floating vanity, which is great for smaller bathrooms.
